M...Thanks for the instructions on baking a pumpkin! My girls brought 2 little pumpkins home from a field trip and wanted to use them for pumpkin pie. I was dreading cutting them up and cooking them, but this was so much easier. You are right - the skin is a lot easier to get off after it is cooked! Also my past experience with cutting and cooking a pumpkin is that the raw pumpkin really dried my hands out.
