Card File System

the video got cut off a few seconds too soon. I end it with: "I'd rather be blogging". Yeah.

oh Alana!! Thank you!! I appreciate your time and effort explaining that in my own, in home demonstration!! lol Wonderfully helpful and even highly entertaining!! I get the basic idea now thank you. I will have to see about the chore idea list. That part overwhelms me just a TAD. lol every chore you could ever think of.... But yeah I have 5 kids so I don't have to do ALL of them. and um, I would rather be crocheting. lol J*anns had fisherman's wool on sale. So, I have made scarf hat and am now working on socks.... cause I am artistic and creative and not so habitual about housework.

That looks like a great idea! I may use it around here...it's harder to stay on top of things when one is working!

Cool idea. I love your shawl. Did you make it? HEY...we pick up milk every Friday, too. Our farmer comes up here from Corinth, KY. Do you get your milk from Farmer Gary Oaks, too?

No, our farmer lives in southern Indiana. He sells "pet products". Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Loved your video!! How nice to be able to put your voice/personality with your writings =-)

AND, I greatly appreciate the ideas with your card system...I am exactly as you describe in the beginning of the clip - artsy, always distracted, OCD , always checking my mail - or bird watching out the kitchen window with coffee in hand... and making daily lists just so I can stay on task. Thanks a bunch ~ and
Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for the tutorial! I think it's a great idea to have a file system like that, even for someone like myself who can stay fairly 'on track' with home maintenance. I like ideas like this too since I am single and childless, I love to think 'towards the future' and get in these good habits. Hopefully one day I will have a family and these practices will already be second nature for me! By the way, I love your hair! I know it is a source of strife for you sometimes, for various reasons, but think it's so cute!
Blessings,
Katie

As per our household, we are curious about the shawl you are wearing (homemade???), and about the painting in the background... very pretty!

Plus, I think I love the card system, even though I have not watched the whole video yet. =)

Shawl was a thrift store find a few years ago. Label says American Eagle Outfitters. I like the organge sweater and maroon shawl together.

Painting in background: inherited from my in-laws. Wes likes that painting, I don't. There are two in the set. Sort of Asian scenery. grrrrr. It's better than a completely empty wall, I guess.

I love it! I so miss you! You have me motivated!
Oh I kinda get it now. I've tried flylady on and off a few times over the past, um, 6 or 7 years. That's embarrassing. Don't tell anyone that I don't have a job or kids and I still can't keep my house in order!
