I disagree with their answer to number 7. The question is:

If .4 < x < 1/2, x could equal:

* 40%
* None of the above
* 45%
* 50%

I answered "none of the above" because x must be a number, and percentages by themselves are not numbers. Percentages are meaningless by themselves. You can speak of "25% of 12" or "25% of men", but "25%" by itself isn't anything. While it's true that you can compute "25% of 12" by multiplying 12 by .25, it does not follow that 25% and .25 are the same thing. They are very different.
